I have Dunlop d607 tyres the front is 6yrs old very slight cracking in the tread
the rear is only 18months old problem is i cant find a new 607 front to match now Dunlop do not make the model anymore .Question, do i fit the new version of the trailmax on the front or buy a new pair. only 13000 miles

I'd be tempted to fit a new Dunlop TR91 and see how the bike handles. The only real issue would if Dunlop have changed the profile of the tyre from the old D607. I'd hazard a guess that the mix of tyres will be fine but I'd keep an open mind about it until you've tried them.

The other thing would be to contact Technical Support at Dunlop and ask them. I remember that 10 or so years ago, Bridgestone were quite happy to recommend a BT56/57 combination on VFRs but when they were replaced by 010/020 they didn't recommend that combination and having tried it, I can understand why.

If the TR is better than the D607 it will be pretty damned good. I loved the D607s I had fitted to my old '07 GS - real shit to a blanket tyres.
