MM battery

My MM has been sitting at the local BMW shop since wednesday. It failed to start and the battery was found to be the culprit. Apparently it is not the same size as a R12 one, but if someone could confirm and maybe state the correct measurements I'd be greatfull.

I've been bollocks'ed by dealers before, so I thought better to check here

Its not a R1200 one (size), ive just had to get a new one (warranty) they had to get it in specially, definately different.
Seemingly my bikes onto its 3rd battery in 18 months.
Now I own it, it will be kept on a proper BMW charger thing like myt GS.
Had no problems whatsoever with that.

Do a search for Odyssey on here.
They certainly do replacements for the HPE - presumably they'll fit the MM as well.
Over 2 years and no problems with my Odyssey BTW.
