Just thought I'd wait till the bike had done a few hundred miles after the 12k service last week and give everyone the post-mortem on mobile servicing...

I'd now recommend Pat Keenan and Mobitec to any of you guys who want to try the mobile servicing route..

A 12k service, full report on the bike + a few little extras. He goes through everything with you, showing you what additional bits needed doing... a stamped service book ... £265 all in.

Took him just over 3 hours... and the bike is going great.. mid range transformed, (now everything is sorted and balanced), the timing / starting issues completely sorted and engine sounding very sweet..

Even the missus said the vibration through the rear pegs at speed has now gone !

Now I know we all hate paying out for servicing, but for the less technical who wouldn't take on a full service (and I know there are a few of us ), he seems a very genuine bloke and he's done a good job on my bike, so well done Pat..

Dave.

Dave, what parts did you need, other than the standard service items? I only ask because your 12k bill was some £50 more than my main dealer service price (which included hard-wiring the GPS lead)...

Mike:confused:
