Well, it's mostly mobylette and rust. 1959 vintage, she has been passed around with pals for years, but now's the time to move it on.
It's pretty horrid, with parts welded on, an old OXO tin holding the rear mudguard together and various other "repairs" over it's 67 years. Have a look at the improvised pedal crank arms, quality engineering there for sure.
It actually does run! And sort of stops. The front brakes were down/upgraded to 1930s cantilever ones. They do stop the bike eventually. They are probably worth the asking price alone
Amazingly this bike has won a few trophies at Mobylette Rallys. Bribery probably helped.
The barrel is an Airsal 50cc one, so it can exceed 30mph if your brave. It really is terrifying. The original comes with her.
The registration, PAP 765, is the original plate, but it is not transferable.
Always stored inside during my ownership, however it's probably been stored in various oceans and peaty bogs at other times.
Video of her running available.
Price,
£399.....
.....Because that sounds cheaper than £400.
Now, what is it they say on FB Marketplace?....don't make any offers, I know what I have here, no I won't swop it for a broken Xbox and bag of sweets. She is in mint condition apart from.....
