Hi all,
What are the main differences between the GS model K25 & K25/11......serious question please.

Regards

Most sites only list
K25
or
K25/M

the /M refers to the 2008 model range that have the silver chevron (boomerangs) on the sides and have the fractionally more powerful engine. Not much difference otherwise - although RealOEM are puzzling me a bit as they show a European model built November 2006 with the chevrons
( browse parts from this link to see what I mean: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.d...model=R1200GS/M&zone=ECE&prod=20061100&arch=0 )

Never heard of a K25/11

Strange ...
The reason for asking ..i have just purchased a genuine BM Repair CD (July 09 edition) and this is the one that cover my Sept 09 model.

It is asking which model i have & the U.K options are K25 & K25/11 the photos it is giving cannot be clearly made out to determine features

regards

Well I just found a reference on something in the USA that shows that a K25/2 - is the original R1200 GS Adventure.

If the reprom (BMW Repair CD) shows graphics/diagrams of the tank panels and bodywork you should be able to work out which models it covers.

Thanks for this, the CD insert does list K25/02 & K25/12 for both U.K & U.S

When i get a bit more time I'll input both model types & see what differences it throws up.... probably as you say only colour and panel changes, which makes no odds at all.

Regards

Hmm from what you have said is on the CD, my guess is
K25 = R1200GS 2004-2007
K25/2 = R1200GSA 200? - 2007
K25/11 = R1200GS 2008+ (same as K25/M)
K25/12 = R1200GSA 2008+ (Same as K25/M Adventure)

This is only a guess though

Bear in mind that the 2008+ models had different front subframes to cover the panel and tank differences, had a few bhp more and possibly came as standard with an LED rear light so there are possibly a lot of small differences resulting in different part numbers.
