Its a guy called Andy Haworth been using him for three years now he has my 1150gs at present, just done a full service on the Triumph 900 ,got a mates 80gs for some electric mods.Picks me up from the local train station would not hesitate to recommend him.Don,t expect coffee machines and comfy chairs though, hard place to find as well.does a lot of classic restoration stuff. My mate was there last week with his 80gs said there were loads of bikes there so don,t expect quick turn around.
He's done various bits and bats for me that were beyond my limited means, and I've always been very happy, both with his work and prices. I've happily recommended him to friends and will do so again. My steed will be heading in again shortly for a couple of jobs.
As has been hinted at though, his premises look like little more than a run down brick shack behind an old mill in the middle of nowhere. His overheads must be a fraction of main dealers and that's reflected in his prices.
Reading your threads on this place, this sounds like someone to use, Is Andy approved by BMW as I have the extended warranty with BMW for my 1200GS.
Thanks Paul
Paul,
Give Andy a ring to check but if I am right then the warranty should stand if they use BMW approved parts and are VAT registered?
Not sure so you should check with them first.
