I am still thinking about upgrading my monitor to a higher definition version.
On the screen settings display it goes up much higher but the screen won't
cope with it is this just a low resolution screen and will the dell computer run a higher definition monitor?. Any advice gratefully accepted, the swmb ignored
has just got a new HP and this has a really high definition screen very nice
but don't really want to shell out for a new computer the HP runs on Windows 7
and works ok on UKGSER straight out of the box but I put it on Google Chrome
and no probs. Does the the higher definition reading on the screen settings
mean that the computer will run a higher def monitor?.

unlike CRT screens, LCD screens have a native resolution, so whatever that is, is what the screen settings should be set to. anything else and it will start to look a bit fuzzy.

the higher definition reading on the screen settings does mean that the computer will run a higher def monitor. at least it should.
it might get a bit sluggish if the graphics card is not up to pushing the extra pixels about, say in games.

make sure you have the latest graphics card drivers from the manufacturer of the card (not dell). that should help.
