Monster IEZClick Disaster

Hi all,

Fitted the Monster IEZClick today, looking fwd to having direct remote control of my Ipod music on the move.
So far I am not very impressed!!!!!
I fitted the remote inside the left hand guard so that all buttons are directly accessable at the stretch of one finger. The adaptor and Ipod lie next to my Autocom in the tool tray.
I must admit I didnt try a test before fitting equipment to bike and drilling a hole in the hand guard. It says in manual that signal passes through wall, floors,doors etc. why should I disbelieve?
Anyway, even with the seat off, and direct line of sight, no more than 4ft away, the remote will not work! It will only control the Ipod if I reduce the distance by turning handle bars onto full left stop.
I tried Pairing and un pairing in accordance with manual, tried disconnecting my Autocom bluetooth module incase of interference, and even with bike switched off. Nothing made any difference!
Has anyone had any experience with this device? Any info would be gratefully recieved. I do not want to bad mouth this product until I have exhausted all possible ways to rectify this problem first.
Surely the remote range of this product cant be less than 4 bloody feet!!!!!!!!!

Its true, I have not done this yet. Maybe the unit has been sitting on the shelf for a long time. I will replace tomorrow and let you know.

I fitted a new CR2032 and is exactly the same. Nothing more to do except try and get my money back, and look for another device.

I use one of these, just keep it in the clear map pocket of the Tankbag....works fine and a lot cheaper...

I use this remote and its great. The remote is waterproof and zip tied to my handlebars while the ipod is under my rear rack.

I've just fitted a monster ez click. I've got the Ipod in a tail pack and the remote on the handlebar brace.

It seems to work sometimes, and oddly gets worse when I'm going fast!

Have fitted a Monster this winter. Works fine, only a slight delay in reaction.
Works at speeds up to 120 km/hr (not tested above).

Ipod is in tailbag, Monster is on handlebar.
Ipod is connected with Autocom 300.

Monster works through wall, tested that in garage. Is a half stone brick wall.

Blast why did I not see this one before I got my IEZClick, as it provides passthrugh for power.

As for IEZClick, I've not had any problems with it, my iPod lives in my tankbag, and the remote in the map pocket.
