Crikey, that's quite a long time, how long is the detour?

If you’re fit and use the Gouter hut going from France or the Gonella hut going from Italy then 36hrs is about right. If you need to hire a guide then add on 24hrs and expect to pay up to €1k.

The views can be quite spectacular from the summit
