i wouldnt bother? head straight for the d/day beach,s
Are you asking if you should bother, or telling us that you wouldn't?
-------------
Sven and the others has it about right, Cooperman.
Mont SM is worth a look, as a part of a day out.
What else to see? Look at a Green Michelin guide book of the area. It will have everything ( and then some more on top) listed, detailed and explained. It also has basic maps / suggestions for routes. Well worth the time and a small investment, or borrow one from your local library.
Routes around the area? Have a look at the 80 virees a moto, NW France, sticky. Or get a map of the area, 1:200,000 scale will do, and plot your own to match what you want to do and when.
Where to stay? As usual, it's up to you, your expectations and budget. Anything and everything is available from Formula 1 type, through the Ibis type chains, through private Logis type hotels, right on to Five Star luxury.
Spend a bit of time on Google / Via Michelin / in your local bookshop or library and you will find something that should suit you. If it turns out to be good, post it here in UKGSer's accommodation section. If it is shite, do the same and move.
