Is there any way for me to check how much I have downloaded and uploaded in a month. There is a mobil phone offer at the moment that offers free broadband up to 2GB per month
I'll settle for a no it can't be done reply.
I've checked my BT package and that has the 2GB limit but they do say that they will accept someone going occasionally over the top. It would be interesting to see how much of the allowance I am using.
I really like NetMeter and have used it for a long time. Apart from having a small moving graph of the currnt usage it has some good summary numbers kept of usage over the months/since first installed too - shows peaks, projected and you can even add an alert when you get need a threshold.
Be aware though, that these 'meters' will show ALL traffic on the system, so if you have a home 'network' via a router it'll count all 'traffic' to/from that.
Thanks,
I'll give the Net meter a try. I've never been cautioned about my use but feel sure that it must be at least close to the limit.
I got hammered once by the mobile company when I used my phone to surf this site. I don't want a bill like that again.
