More 2017 pics

Any news on semi/full active suspension as an option? Chip Wrap (MCN) alluded to it I think in an overview of model line up. Then again could have been a bit of cod in batter/typo:rolleyes:

I really like the look of it, best looking GS for many years by far :thumb2

Surely though the spec you see in the pictures is the whole point of it, why would you want to do any of the shit you mention  It's an Adv styled bike with proper off road capability............isn't it? ;)

Andres

People will do it as it's the best colour by far!

It'll be interesting to see how they price it. It should be much cheaper than the regular GS, as it's lacking a centre stand, sat nav preparation, pillion pegs/ handles, and luggage rack.:augie
Looks like a Nav to me Nutster.

Just looking at the pic Paul , makes me want to go to my garage , get my gear on and ride... ( OK its 3C , 23:30 and I've been drinking Malbec ......so thats not my best idea)

God; I love these bikes. I'd buy another brand at the drop of a hat..... I particularly get a "hard on" when on the KTM exhibition stand ....EICMA , NEC etc
BUT, I honestly think , for the whole experience, dealers, loan bikes, servicing, clothing , stability in crosswinds, safety when banked over .....support and fairness, they are all 2 or three years behind BMW.

I'm agreeing with .... Andres , fuck ? odd...

Brexit will make them more expensive than they would have been ;) they do look good though :)
I thought it would be the drop in the pound that would be the cause of any increase the prices.
I wonder if used bikes will hold their value better every cloud and all that

Malbec? Now you're talking!:D

And, I agree re the whole BMW package. I'd definitely consider a KTM at some point, think the new models coming out look great, but feel that they need to up their game in the other areas you've mentioned, before I'd part with north of £16k for one of their bikes.

I've visited four different KTM dealers over the last couple of years, and not once have I come away thinking that I'd like to buy a bike from any of those dealers.

It's the hand written invoices isn't it, you don't like hand written invoices :D

I didn't like the lies they told (wrt delivery )
Got my money back after a tussle !).

That's a northern thing; we don't have such antiquated procedures down here. We have electricity, and everything.:D

I was set on getting a 1290 SA before getting my GS and even had a deposit on one. Then I rode my mates...it was a touch too tall for me but also little things like the seat got hot, the dash menu was annoying and I didn't like the screen. Great bike though but the GS just felt way more natural to me.

Completely 100% true!

All fair points - but have to say that I have gelled well with my 1190 S and do not regret the change to the orange side.

Height - not a problem for me, dash is fine and you can at least read the speedo rather than having to reply on the Nav 5 ;)

Never had a GS where I did not need to change the screen and are you sure you had not left the heated seats on :D

Will be very interested to test ride the new 1290 S when it is released to see how it compares to mine.
