It's the hand written invoices isn't it, you don't like hand written invoices :D

Leisure trail do it old school cash under the counter and no corporate bo11ox and fancy coffee machines and neither do they call you sir. I think it would be too much of a shock for our southern members.

There's a lot of badge snobbery in the same way some would never buy a Skoda over a VW .

Love the way they refer to me as "Young Man" when I go in despite being well into my 50's :D

Having used Leisuretrail, Redline and Premier over the years - I would be happy to use any of them going forward. Not sure I understand the "need" for swanky showrooms and free coffee - although Premier do at least provide the latter ;)

How many of us would like Reiner Fings job ?

Could we do a better job ? I doubt it !

€20.400 for a Motorcycle....is it just me or....

Nope. Me too.
Just back from Portugal and Spain on my bought new £9,500, 2004 1200GS .... 86,000 miles now....

Doubt the new shell-suit model is twice as good.

Be worth it if the new model had run flat tyres :augie :D

Good lord!

Using today's ZAR / € exhange rate that would make this bike ZAR 316200 in South Africa. The current R1200 GSA bike sells for ZAR 239 990 in SA.
This price INCLUDES the follwing packages:
  • Comfort package
  • Touring package
  • Dynamic package
  • Control brake light
  • Daytiem riding lights

I feel for you guys in the UK, i would not pay €20.400 for a GSA!!!!!!!!

Regards

You don't need to worry just yet.:D

No badge snobbery from me. I've just got rid of my BMW car to get a VW, and actually quite like it, despite VW being a working class peasant brand.:D

Iv had 5 beemers 2 1150gsa 1 1150gs a 1200gsa mu and an R nine T and two 990ktm Adventures i love my 1150gsa that i now own i cant put my finger on why, its crude vibey and heavy..But i honestly think KTM are so much better built, i know that doesnt go down here but they are. The way i see it is BMW build road bikes that do abit of adventure and KTM build Adventure bikes that do road, the downside for me on my 990 was a complete ballache to do oil changes unlike the GS not sure on the new 1190s but christ are they fast, had a tear up with one on my diavel...but who needs that much power on an Adventure bike...

You could easlily get that up to near €23,000 in Ireland

No doubt but jeez so much money for a motorcycle how do they justify the cost...i guess it means us peasants get to buy second hand bikes along the line, my Carbon diavel is 18000 new but no way would i ever pay that, infact the secondhand price i paid was the most id ever pay for a motorbike..id be interested to see how these manufactures arrive at these prices...

I would have to be very, very financially comfortable (and I'm not) to buy one of these bikes brand new, to the extent that the cost of the bike had absolutely no impact on my day to day living.

I would say a 2 or 3 year old, very well looked after bike is probably the furthest I'm gonna go for the remainder of my riding days.

Unless of course the Lotto numbers come in.

But a standing ovation to the wealthy lads............... without yis, these lovely machines wouldn't exist and the normal Joe Soap wouldn't get the opportunity to own them, pre loved.

It's peanuts. Ducati have just revealed a £72,000 bike.

And is why so many new beemers these days are sold on PCP.
