More lights questions!!

Good point, but I have the fuses under the toolbox so the risk is reduced. Also, if the relays are close to the headlights and the aux lights the number of wires that need to be routed back to the underseat area are reduced to 2. Which seemed to me to be neater. Plus as Les says - there's not a lot of room under the seat on the 1200!

It remains to be seen whether the relays are too exposed to rain where I have fitted them ... fingers crossed.

I'm not sure about the idea of using just a single relay - gut feel is not to, but it will probably depend on the electrical rating of the relay.

Yes definitely keep the wire from the battery to the fuses as short as possible.

Relay positions are not as critical my preference would be closer to the battery but I see your point about less wires routed from lights to relays near the seat/battery area.

I use 2 relays one on dipped beam for hella fogs and one on main full beam for ff50s. I dont have a switch for the hellas they are used as driving lights and are therefore on all the time. I also have the Migsel bar.

Les, which lightbar are you using?? Migsel?
I am glad you have posted the pics showing the micro de's, should have mine on soon but did'nt know whether I should mount them under or on top of the migsel bar.

cheers Stuart :thumb

No not a Migsel bar, these are the one's that Gazza got made, and a nice bit of kit they are to. :thumb
i would mount them as low as poss as the beam is really wide and if you go the HID route the HID will swallow the DE beam up, but they are great for filtering.

lightbar

Gazza? Can you provide a bit more info regarding the lightbar Les. Do you know if it is still available, cost etc? :thumb

See what I can find out :thumb
