I remounted the hella spots on my 1150 as the mounting bar under the nose was marking the forks. I used a very nice mount from gmtmoto.com that uses the indicator stalk. Problem is, bulbs not blown, lights not working. After i have fitted the first spot, i tried the headlights, the unchanged spot worked, not the one i had remounted on the new mount. Remounted the other spot. now neither work. could it be earthing? Any sugestions or advice for the stupid like me. :bow

do you mean that there is a seperate earth for each indicator? I refitted the earth, which i understand to be the spot light earth, to that part of the nose it had been fitted to, underneath the radiator and radiator grill. The "old " metal mounting bracket i removed was fixed there. Given i have removed this metal mounting bracket should i refit the earth to another part of the frame? thanks again for your advice

There's a live and earth feed to each indicator so I'd put money on there not being an earth at the mount. There is one where the horn mounts, if I recall correctly...

If you've fitted the earth lead back to the same point then the earth shold be there. Got a multimeter or continuity tester you can investigate with? That's the reliable way to find out.

Indicators work fine. I will try with multimeter. Thanks for your help. I will post if I get the spots sorted.
