I want to have a look at some regs and results from a few events ive done lately but when i try to open them, all i get is a screen with a very little box in the top left hand corner, with a blue circle, blue triangle, and red square in it.What is this, and how can i overcome it to enable me to see said regs etc etc ??
Ta.

If you are running windows XP the program should appear in the tool bar that runs along the bottom of the screen next to the Start button
Click on the appropriate program with the right hand mouse button (Thats the one you normally do not use) a menu will appear. Click on restore and if that does not work click on maximise.
If that does not work press Ctrl Alt and Delete all at the same time (once only) windows task manager will open.
Click on Applications to see if the program is running or not. If it does not appear it means that the program with the results is not running and you may have to reinstall the appropriate software. Before doing so check the processes list (next tab in task manager) and see if the program is running or not. If you cannot spot it it may not be working at all and need reinstalling. If it is working try rebooting the computer - shut it down and restarting.
If that does not work then I suggest you wait for some help from someone else.
Good luck

Mmm, tried allthe above but no good.what i will say is that the box that opens is the internet explorer page but with the aforementioned tiny box in the top left corner.
i have also had a friend send the regs to me via email. When i try to open the regs, i get a box saying
"Documents /settings/administrator etc etc
The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.Create an associsation in the Folder options file"

ive been to the folder options, but still not sure what to do next ??????

Help anyone !

He is either sending in a way that the extension that tells windows what program opens it is missing from the filename, or you don't have the program installed that will open it. It is therefore defaulting to explorer that doesn't know what to do with it. Ask what you need to view the file he is sending and if you don't have it installed ask if he can send it in a format you can see.
