More Polite Jackets Please

OMG, Polite brigades dream bike... :blast :tosser

I really like it in white but just can't get past the Polite image.

Probably one of my biggest gripes.
Riding a white bike, hi vis jacket and pretending to be a policeman. FFS.

But would a black helmet, black jacket and jeans be okay - and maybe with an urban glow black and silver hi-vis (when dark or foggy) be acceptable ?

Want one but just not sure about the twat look.

Otherwise, I guess, charcoal....

I have a white bike in fact a white RTP because it was cheap from my old force. I wear a hi viz as well because every little helps against the texting numpties out there. I'm not pretending to be a policeman, I stopped that after 15 years when I handed my warrant card back.

Of course I don't own a polite vest that's just full on Walt mode.

Perfectly acceptable in addition to Sky Bear. All good in my eyes.

I really don't get this "Polite" thing.
The only time anyone is going to see it is after you have overtaken them, by then it doesn't matter does it?

Think its more for when people are approaching you, to slow and give you more space. They were designed for horse riders, but then everyone started to wear them

Ordered a new RT today, wanted another grey one, they only do black, bronze or white. Chose white as not liking the other colours

Sorry, I don't understand. Great for horse riders, but for bikers?

If they are approaching you - from behind 'cos that's where the POLITE is - how did they catch you up???

And it doesn't even make any sense. What's "polite" got to do with anything? Are they trying to ask road users to be polite, if so shouldn't it read "I'm a bit scared, please be polite and not frighten me, as I'm a delicate little flower" or are they saying that the biker is polite, in which case shouldn't it read "I'm so polite that I never ever speed, use bad language, or scare small children and animals".

The original idea was to remind drivers to be polite when overtaking horse and rider by giving them plenty of space. Then got picked up by some cyclists in an attempt to get drivers to overtake them politely and give them space.

So if you're the kind of motorbiker who gets overtaken by cars on a regular basis then this is the perfect accessory ;)

Congrats! I saw the white one recently and it looks nice with the black engine and transmission (UK spec). The new black is more like a dark blue IMHO.

Well, the 2017 white one I saw had black engine and frame which I thought was 2016 onwards, same as the bronze one here:

I don't know whether they are going back to silver going forward, it would be easier if you could just choose one or the other I guess.

Just picked up my dark blue (!! Black) 2017..all photos it had silver trans and engine..mine is full black..like the engine..not sure on the drive shaft though...the deal was too good to turn down however..the white is white and looks cheap imo..the gold is the same colour as my dads (77 years young) 2001 x type jag...I am not that old yet. Gutted the callista grey has gone...i loved my 2014 in that colour... I'll stick a photo up if I can..

I think it would look better if all that rear silver was black as well.
.....and what about black wheels?
