Morocco Adventure 2016

Yes Tetanus is always a good idea, but don't bother with the others unless you're drinking from the sewer, shagging a dog or sharing needles with local junkies :beerjug:

I thought those activities were already included in the price of the trip Tim? :D

I'm going to need a new rear tyre for this trip, any recommendations? Make and model?

Mitas E09 and Dunlop 908R are woth looking as well, had better mileage from these tyres than a michelin desert.

Mitas was a right bastard to fit, but it was their extreme version (yellow stripe). Could almost be ridden without a tube or moose it was that bloody stiff. Did perform well on the Hardalp tour despite this.

You're right there 908s are expensive thought E09s are good.

I have a brand new D908 21" front if anyone wants it.

I got 5K miles out of mine riding the last half of the TAT, more than twice the desert i started with.....

Yes I used 908s for the TAT, but for Morocco we don't need it to last quite as long.

Goldentyre are also favoured these days although I've not tried them.

A few things on the list that needed looking at...New brake fluids + Oils and filters etc..
Surprised how the fuel lines had Hardened over time So replace all those. Checked valve clearances and changed to New shims whilst doing this noticed a decent level of
scoring/pitting on the cam followers, 2012 12K miles So thats led to New inlet /exhaust rocker followers..:blast it seems KTM have superseded these in recent times, Worth a check if your on a KTM.
Next
New wheel bearings and a forks need a bit of love.:)

When booking the ferry you may need to use a Spainish post code put this number in the box 29680 and all should be ok

Made some more changes to the bike and just back from a few hours riding, all seems good :bounce1

Is there an itinerary for the trip - :D

There's a erm 'flexible' one yes, I'll send it to Mark then he can email it out.

Normally I'd go through this during a pre trip meeting but it's proving difficult to get everyone together at the same time :beerjug:
