Jeff - for time/place see this post in the South West forum. Looks like we'll be down to you, me and Mark - looks like Pete's trashed his wheels?! :blast

It might rain on Sunday. It's defo getting cooler. I will have to study the meteorology & climatology, if the atmospheric chemistry is correct I may be there.

Evening Gents, a few photos uploaded to the dropbox and the video footage is currently uploading but the whole vid is just under 5 gigs so might take a while. My launch date is now confirmed as Sat 02nd May, no idea where exactly I am heading but I just want to get going. Mark (Bazzer) is looking at the possibility of extending his time away so that we can possibly venture a bit further south or maybe a bit of Portugal. What are your thoughts Andrew & Patrick?

We had a very enjoyable day yesterday, weather was fantastic, trails were awesome and not too muddy although looking at my bike you wouldn't know it! Unfortunately Mark's bike suffered a bit of a suspension malfunction and fingers crossed it won't be too expensive to fix. There isn't much time between now and D Day but if there is an appetite to meet up before we go may I suggest Sunday 26th April perhaps might be a good possibility. Anyone fancy a final brew and a chat before Palencia??

Pete

One question - did you (we) agree which port will be entering Morocco through? Was just trying to complete the online form for entry.
If there is a choice thats OK as I can print off different versions.

Think we settled on Tangier Med as it is newer and seemingly tout free according to some experts at the Ace Cafe event.

Thanks for the photos, weather looked great, is that oil leaking from Marks shock? I hope it can be easily repaired, just as well it failed now though and not at Erg Chebbi .

I can't really stay away any longer, as I will be away again in July. But I am happy to leave you guys and head back alone if that's what you want to do.

If we meet on the 26, are you suggesting another day on the Plains? That would suit me, I'll have knobblies fitted by then.

Tangier-Med was the favourite, what day of arrival did you put?

Can't find the video yet Pete, is it to large? Pictures were good though..................why did Mark park his bike without using the sidestand ;)

The photos look good. Looked like a great day out. a shame I couldn't make it !!

Patrick I got to say I'm not really up for a session on the Plain less than a week before I hit French soil. More than happy to RV at the/a cafe though for some breakfast and some final last minute planning if there is an appetite amongst us all.

Sorry boys, I have been trying to sync the film and it says it will take 53 days!! The only other thing I could do is post it straight to Youtube but I not that good at editing whereby I can blur out everyones reg numbers and didn't want to just post them up all over the web in case anyone was bothered about it. (i'm just too considerate/or sh*t at editing, you decide!).

Pikey, Mark did have a thing for leaping of his bike horizontally and resting it on the panniers. Must be an RAF thing?! You should see the video footage.....

Mark, any news yet? Is it going to be back on the road in time??

Not sure on the date as the travel plans are nice and lose so I don't think I'll bother, will just complete the forms as and when we arrive.

Will have my passport, drivers licence, green card, V5 and a copy of my insurance policy + a few of those fiche sheets completed (not that I think I'll need them up norf in Morocco).

Yes that is quite a good blog. This one is also very interesting. (Link) It is Tim Cullis' blog from his trip earlier in the year featuring my next bike ;)

Of particular note is the visit to the set of the film 'The Mummey' which we won't actually too far from and I reckon would be worth a visit.
