Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a testing centre preferably around SW London? Battersea Motorrad are quite busy at the moment and seeing as it's my first MOT with the GS I'd rather take it to a BMW mech/centre than a cowboy.

Thanking in advance!:beerjug:

Just go anywhere for the MOT; they are all governed by MOT standards. They'll only be inspecting your bike after all...

If it does need work, then of course you can get that done anywhere.

While I hesitate to chip in wiath another non-answer, I'd agree with the above. I take my bikes to the dodgy local garage, and if they find anything that needs doing, then take it to a proper dealer for the work.

An advantage of this is that they tell me what's wrong, then pass it anyway, so I don't have to go back a second time.

Try chas bikes

all the above are true, so go to what is convenient. chas bikes in southwark are straightforward and convenient for Southwark tube. Have a look here. Used in the past.

Regards, Path.

I guess you missed that bit in the original post, then, where he said that BMW Battersea were too busy right now/..

Well .. if you read the WHOLE sentence that the fella wrote then you might understand what I wrote :D

"First MOT and want to take to a BMW tech centre" ... there is only one in central london :rob

Had he given more information about the compromise between waiting (which I assume why he just hasn't booked it already at Battersea) and it NOT being a BMW shop then some of the other responses might be more relevant.

What I was trying to say was .. if you want BMW centre in London then that's your only choice. So book it and wait a couple of days.

Chas Bikes it is...Thanks guys.

P.S - Battersea are still busy :nenau. Maybe they don't bother with small fry like MOTs anymore.
