This cold spell (even on the 'Sunny South Coast') is taking a toll on my battery and I suspect that it's heading west. I'm going to change out the 20/50 for 10/40 to help it out in the interim but as the clock is resetting itself on cranking on cold mornigs it may be time for a change. I've had the oem battery for 3.5 years and the bike gets used for a lot of short journeys 5/6 days a week and normally lives on an Optimate overnight in a garage. To be fair this is the first winter that it's started resetting the clock.
Now I'm conscious of not stating a 'which oil do you use' thread
blast) but I was interested if anyone has any (longer term) experience of running a Motobatt battery on an 1150gs as they seem to have a decent CCA rating and be reasonably priced. For ref, my bike is a '04 gsa twin spark.
