Could anyone who has bought a pair of these trousers measure the inside leg so I can check how they fit please. Equally anyone with the original Scotts’ measure theirs please. Ideally size both in size XL but one size up or down will give a good guide.

I’m asking coz I bought a pair back in April, tried them on, thought that’ll do. I wore them a couple of times before the hot & dry summer started and got slightly wet feet as they rode up a bit - short boots. Hot dry summer meant they didn’t get put on again until this past week and I had forgotten all about how short they are. But despite it being only showery after a long ride I still had wet feet as they rode up again. The stirrups are too much faff when trying to put them on at home let alone on the side of a road.

I ordered XL- long leg. They are labelled “DXL” which I assume is German/ Held code for XL - long. But the inside leg measures only 32”. That’s not long-legged in my world, and according to Motolegends’ spiel they should be 3” longer than the regular length. So if someone has a pair XL trousers in either regular or long leg I’d be grateful if you could let me know what they measure. As these are a copy of the Scotts’ ergo pro trousers the regular sized Held’s inside leg measurements should be the same as the Scott’s.

It’d be useful to have someone else’s measurements to compare with before I contact Motolegends on Tuesday when they reopen.

TIA

They sent you the totally wrong size. DXL stands for Damen XL. German for Ladies :ROFLMAO:
Long in German is lang, so the size labeling for a long XL is intuitively L-XL. An epic mistake, I hope everyone else who ordered a long size did not get sent the ladies sizes as well..
Here is an overview of Held size labelling:

That's what I said to help out (that's what I intended anyway) in Austin's For Sale advert. Austin then added the physical dimensions to his advert which satisfied the buyer.

Austin also double checked with Motolegends and they swore blind that the D in DXL stood for "Long"

Give me a moment to suspend my disbelief :).

I am reminded of when, many years ago, I bought my first BMW jacket in size Euro 42 from SPC Motorcycles. I tried the bulky waterproof on in the shop and it seemed to fit. When I got it home the sleeves were significantly shorter than my other jackets, though still acceptable. That is when I learned that 42 was a ladies size and had nothing to do with 42" chest measurement.
At least it was only £75 reduced from £550, but I have been cautious since!!

untersetzt (B) means "short, fat, b@stard" (me!) where the B stands for Bauch (Belly in English)

So Motolegends does send ladies sizes to everyone one ordered a long size :yelrotflm
Motolegends blindly stating facts that are wrong does sound like the Motolegends I've come to know though..
I didn't read the For Sale advert, but glad to hear at least this buyer got the right dimensions.

I've just looked up a German article that explains the difference between untersetzt (B) and kurz (K) but it doesn't translate very well. Anyway, what I got from it is that kurz is the same as the normal size, but a little shorter. This could be bought if you're just a little shorter, or if you need a bigger size for having bigger proportions, but then the normal size up could become too long.
While untersetzt is really a different sizing system alltogether that cannot be directly compared to standard sizes because they differ too much.
