Motorrad Bishopbriggs

As far as I was aware, there's a new owner of MC, the East shop has some faces I remember which is great (the boys at the back who look after the stuff that matters) .....apart from that, it looks like normal business to me....:nenau ............

(never been to the West shop before, bit far when you have one 2 minutes from the front door)

West's line up of staff.

Head of Sales/Marketing: Alan Dalziel
Head of Operations : Mel Robinson

Motorcycle Manager: Peter Wright
Sales Executives : Andrew Purdie, Alistair Reid
Sales Administrator : Cassandra Robertson

Aftersales Advisor : Lorna McLardy
Service Advisor : Damien Orr
Parts Advisor : Scott McFarlane

Technicians : Craig Davidson, Michael Smith, Mark McLauglin, Neil McInnes

Not met either Alan Dalziel or Mel Robinson but most of the others have been there for ages. Peter is the Irish salesman, Andrew the tall salesman who I think is leaving soon for a career in the Police. Alistair tended to be in on Saturdays. Lorna, Scott & Damien and all the technicians have been there for a long time. I don't know who the owner is though.

Was just passing

Joe Phillipsz is the new owner at MC. He is a beemer guy with a 1300Gt and other bms in the stable. I have used MC for the past 6 or 7 years and found them to be really good, very helpful and quick to respond if i have any problems. - And have I had some problems. (my last 2 beemers have been bought new from them but the bikes have been pretty unreliable) So far the dealer has always done what they should.

I think it is a bit early to say how they will be in the long term but most of the same personnel are there. There appears to be a general rolling spruce up going on at MC west and i know that AD was 'encouraging' a cleaner approach to bike sales when i was in a fortnight ago....

Sounds hopeful. Now all we need is a deal on servicing before I need to book an annual.

Good news. Hope I am still on the mailing list. Last service (6k) done there plus warranty work on the fuel gauge.

Only ever had stuff sent from Calterdons and I've only bought bolts off them, never had anything from Clarkies bought 2 1200's from there and nothing from Central 3 services and an 800 from there.

Avuss pesters me mind :D

Had a service done at West yesterday, all ok plenty to read and managed to go through most of the choices in the fancy hot drinks machine.
Bike went in and out in about two hours and for the sum of £163.:flag

APB - which service was that?

Hi
Which service was that for APB?
Anyone had a 24k service done by them?

6000 mile service, engine oil + filter, front and rear brake fluids, valve clearances, gearbox oil change, throttle body balance and the fault checks etc so thought that was ok, actual bill (just checked it was £169.63.

Top lads:)

APB
Sounds like a decent enough price - been quoted £over £370 for a 24,000mile service - it doesn't need spark plus (done last time) or an air filter (K&N) - so really it's just a belt over and above your service it would seem. Weird....
