As above just got an e mail through regarding the opening of their new showroom and new season launch for Saturday 5th march , hopefully it will be a decent day and I'll take the bike

Popped in last saturday to get a few service parts. Very open airy feel, bikes are better displayed due to the fact there is more room, clothing area feels more open. Coffee machine still works most importantly! Worth a look if you feel like a ride out. Will be heading there next Saturday to :-) however will be walking as I only live down the road.

My husband was at Dalkeith today,,,I've got pneumonia so stuck at home on sofa

Hubby had booked his r1200rt se ex police bike bought in Dalkeith for a service today,,,and sent me pictures of the hog roast feasting,,,,PIG. ,,,I MEAN MY HUSBAND,,,cruel when I'm lying here I'll,,,anyway he came home in the Dalkeith van courtesy of young staff from Milngavie as they say his bike shouldn't be driven as calippers are sticky,
My husband has been biking since age 17 an now 63 and I'm worried that he didn't feel anything wrong on his journey from Clydebank to Edinburgh,,,,anyone explain to me why he has now been told the front calippers will need replacing and costs,,851.54... My gosh,,,I'm scared now,,,does it mean my husband should have been aware of this,,,he said it felt OK yo him,, he is a gentle driver,,

No comment re MRC. However re the calipers, tell your other half to wheek them aff and give the pistons a good clean up and all should be well. Tell him to subscribe here also and he can receive PMs!

Enjoyed the Hog Roast and free coffee, thought they might be a bit peed off if I got the empty 5 litre container out of the car boot and filled it up with the free beer from the pump they had set up

That's nuts !!!
A good bike mechanic can have those off stripped, cleaned and new seals fitted in about An hour for each calliper
Dealer is taking the piss in a major way.

Remember - this is the fella's wife, relating what she thinks, her husband understood - the mechanic at MC - said.

They also may have had a full day of maintenance (or a backlog) and couldn't address the issues then?

Could be more to this, than first appears.......
