Does anyone know if Motorrad Innovation and Design are still in business as I ordered some frame plugs for my GSA at the end of May and I haven't heard anything yet. I have used them before and the website is up to date but I have phoned and emailed them but had no response.

They say they have partners at Park's BMW - maybe a call to them?

I phoned Douglas Parks Motorrad and yes the company is still in business which is reassuring.

The 'Get in touch' mobile number on the home page doesn't work but there is a different mobile on the 'contact us page' so I've left a message and hopefully get a response.

To be fair the quality is excellent, and I would like a set of frame bungs,,
I did have a similar delay and an item was doubled up, in 2012
Phoning never got through, and the e mail response has lost them my custom,

Well I hope you have a better experience than I did!

I ordered a full set of bungs for the frame, crash bars & pannier rails in the drilled black finish. After a prompting email after 10 days, I was told that they had discontinued black due to customer complaints about high wear and was offered orange, blue or silver. I accepted silver with the proviso that I could return them if I didnt like them.

Nothing arrived - another email - apparently they had been "lost in the post" and a new set would be sent out with some "free gifts" to compensate for the hassles.

Arrived next day but not as expected - only 1 bung each side was of the drilled design - the rest were just flat blanks. The oval blank had a screw in it that didnt fit and performed no function - some of the bungs would not fit whatver o ring I tried. Sent it all back but retained the crash bar and pannier rail bungs because they were as advertised and good.

Then waited for a refund - two weeks later and after sending proof of postage AND delivery with signature shown! - he finally agreed to refund me by Paypal - I paid by Visa.

All in all - not pleasant and I wouldnt go back there.

I'm not aware of the current situation with M.I.D. but I had some involvement in the design and early production stage of the frame bungs. One of the headaches in getting bungs to fit was the production tolerances in R1200GS WC frames. There were significant differences from bike to bike and this wasn't the case with previous model GSes.

Just received mine complete frame set from these guys but im working away so wont be able to try until I get home next month. I also had to chase them and then got the email saying that they didn't do the black set anymore. I also opted for silver so will see how they look against the black GSA frame?
