Thought I'd mention Sawbridgeworth's excellent services. I bought bike from Clarks in Birmingham then moved south for work:

Bike has a 1yr BMW warantee on 2nd hand GS (2002)

1. Knackered fork seals. Replaced next day in time for Morocco. Would have been stuffed otherwise

2. Oil sensor seal gone. Replaced without question.

3. Preload adjuster seized. New rear shock ordered.

I _really_ like the fact the dealer doesn't muck about and BMW honour the warantee. I've done 12,000 miles on the rear and could see them saying "oh but shocks only last 30ks so...)

Great stuff.

Got more work done today. The shock (£338) was done on warantee no probs and they replaced my leaking BMW Rain gloves without question. Good guys, I'll buy my 1200 from them later in the year.

Thought you were getting rid of the 1150 for a smaller cheaper bike, now your getting a 1200?

Changed your mind and realised you can justify it eh

I'm confused. I look at it and say it's too big, heavy and expensive. A liability. Then I ride it.

In the end it's all about money and I'm starting up my own business (and rather hopeful it'll make a lot of dosh).
