Motorway ‘blipper’ / smart tags - For ALL news, advice, how to get one and what’s best, irrespective of the country

Can you move the tag between vehicles or do you need to order one for each?
Use in multiple vehicle. Just remember to change the reg no in use online. Portugal reads your number plate

Plate should be changed for Italy too.
Italy charges bikes and car the same. This is by design, not an issue with the tag.

Dragging up the Fulli element of this thread, seeing as they currently have a 6 month promo for plans “NEIGE24” https://www.fulli.com/fulli-nomade Until 10/03

Now a couple of questions…

Is there a mechanism for cancelling the service to avoid the 24 month non-use penalty? I guess it’s not the end of the world 10€ every 2 years but…

How did you get on with linking to the wise account? I have a Spanish bank account but would like to avoid linking it to that.

I’ve twice had the 10€ non use penalty, the first was during COVID when no one was moving around, which I felt was a bit unfair.
But to cancel the contract just email customer support via your account and they will ask you to mail it back. However RM will likely confiscate & destroyed it due to the battery issue, if that happens and they don’t receive it, then report it lost, ideally with proof of posting. I had to do this when I switched from the original APRR tag to the V.1 4 country tag the size of a mini Mars bar

Thanks Pierre

Really helpful.
Ordering two now! Sunday jobs completed already 😂

Just tried to subscribe but it won't accept SC or ACC No'!

Depends on your bank account. Despite being a Spanish company Santander's IBAN has never worked for me.

For Fulli I just used the IBAN of my bank account (UK)

I didn't even know there was a fee for 24 months none usage but then again I have used it a couple of times since I have had it and going again soon
But the app allows you to control things and can cancel but then you would have to go through the process again to get a new one.

Does the toll booth look at the vehicle to see what's there eg a motorbike / car / van and then charge you on what it sees?

I didn't select the moto option for mine and it's a Class 1 so asked Fulli and they say you can use it with any vehicle, which is confusing me.

Depends on the country.

Italy (and I'm pretty sure south of France too) use an induction loop to calculate vehicle mass and class. They take a picture on exit in case there is something wrong/unclear with the reading (ed: people crossing with no blipper).

Italy will not differentiate class/pricing between a motorbike and a car. France will.
Italy also needs the plate associated with the blipper.

In my experience France always gets it right.
I had a wrong class reading once but they fixed it in the invoice before I could flag it up.

in France, bikes are Class 5 and in my experience, the toll gates automatically detect you as a bike. You will see the class on the display next to the toll due. The class is also shown on your online account and you can raise a query.

Edit: if you get to the gate and it shows Class 1 then just press the button, shout, "Moto" and the operator will change the class as they can see you on CCTV

Not used it much in Spain or Portugal and I can't remember if they have different toll rates for bikes

There are lanes in France with a no motorcycles symbol above them and the word "Réservé", these will charge you as a car even if you go through on a bike
All others will identify a bike
Have you asked your bike what it identifies as? Wouldn’t want to be upsetting anything/one. :D

Nationwide BS never worked for me either, despite entering the IBAN. I came to the conclusion that it may be that N/W is really a Building Society playing at being a Bank. I opened a Lloyds account and it went through immediately.
