Motorway ‘blipper’ / smart tags - For ALL news, advice, how to get one and what’s best, irrespective of the country

I have the standard contract (Ulys Classic) + I added Italy as (being Italian...) I drive/ride through Italy quite a lot and need my blipper to be Telepass-compatible.

It is the same blipper for all countries.
As stated a few thread above, I ordered 2 separate blippers just because I'm lazy and I keep one in the car and one on the bike without moving the device around.

I successfully set-up the SEPA payments through a TransferWise Euro account (free apart from small fees when depositing money).
They will send you an email the week before they withdraw funds. I just dump some money on the account and it's all sorted.

Thank you

I might get two as can use one in the Motorhome

Mine has arrived. Going in my car. Says it has to go in greyed out area. On my car the greyed out area is very small on the passenger side which apparently is the preferred side. But plenty of space drivers side. Is that going to effect it's operational use.
Thanks

Nope,
The sensors are in the middle of the lane above you in the canopy.
When on the bike I carry mine in my top pocket, and just lean back as I come up to the barrier

I’ve tried signing up for one using Nationwide flex bank account. It said NON!
I could use a Halifax account but don’t want the currency charge. I also think as it’s not a ‘real’ bank it won’t be accepted.
What are my options?

They don't care as long as the account or whatever it is can accept SEPA.
The one I use, Wise, is not even a Bank. It's a payment service.

I wouldn't really bother about the conversion rate or charges to be fair... I guess unless one systematically spends thousands of pounds in tolls per year.

Halifax is part of HBOS i.e. merged with the Bank of Scotland. Is that not a real bank?

The bank fees will be 3%. Of what? About £25 on my recent trip so 75p.

Exactly what I went through a couple of weeks (1 page) back… I opened a GB£/€/US$ Wise account in <15mins and stuck €30 in it. €1 went out as a test of the direct debit and all went through perfectly. Today, I’ve tested sending some money to our account in the US since they’re much cheaper and easier than our current method. That’s gone through perfectly with no fees at the other end.

My Mango/Fulli tag arrived a couple of days ago, impressed with the rapid delivery from ordering; took seconds to mount it on the windscreen just behind the rear view mirror. I also set up a Wise payment account to deal with the charges. It has all been very easy and straightforward.

Might be a daft question but are there specific lanes I have to select at the tolls or does it not matter?

The lanes are indicated by the T logo.
As leadfarmer indicated, some of them are not suitable for motorbikes, but clearly indicated.

I suspect you might be traveling by car. Just aim for the Telepeage logo.
Keep in mind that in the lanes marked with the 30 limit the bar will open as you drive through. The ones without the 30 limit signal, you'll have to stop briefly close to the bar for the blipper to be
read.

The Fulli app is now available for those that want it.
PlayStore etc.

Indeed so.

I have downloaded the Fulli app, which has transferred all my old Mango details over automatically.

Nothing else seems to have changed.

My 2 Mango tags arrived yesterday, so I’m really pleased. £0 up front cost and £0 monthly charges when I use them, until Sept

I noticed that they came in Faraday pouches and they suggest that you keep the tag in these in the car, ready for when needed.
