Motoscan brake bleed question.

In the app I can start a brake bleed where it says push the pedal for 2 seconds and the motors activate for 10seconds.

Do I need to open the nipple on the end of the caliper and I’m unsure of what it’s actually doing if the bleed nipple is closed

It's opening the valves in the ABS module to allow the fluid to be moved through. Allowing air to escape, and all the fluid to be moved/refreshed.

When doing the same process with a GS-911, it does not say to open the bleed nipples. As you open them afterwards and bleed the brakes as normal. Usually it advises to do the sequence twice.

Now here is another scenario.
So I lost quite a bit of fluid above the banjo bolt that came from higher up heading towards the abs pump.
On the 2014lc does the rear fluid circuit bleed and pressurise through the rear reservoir and brake pedal and not via the 3 bleed nipples on older abs pump versions.
I have ordered a Haynes manual that’s on its way so this eventually will be answered but if anyone knows that would be good as I lost quite a bit last night higher up the brake lines

You only need to bleed from the callipers. That should be more than enough.

Unless you have had new lines fitted to the ABS pump, or emptied the entire system of fluid i wouldn't see a need for touching anything else.

Because my rear pedal was rock hard as i think the master cylinder piston had travelled passed the return valve and closed that off i had to undo the banjo bolt and fluid fell from the hose leading up to the abs unit so im not sure how much is still in the abs unit but the lc abs pump i believe works all from the rear fluid reservoir so it should refill once i have bought a new master cylinder. It could still be the abs unit but as the piston travelling past the return valve is a well documented issue im going to just change out the Nissin master cylinder for a later brembo unit and see if that solves the issue
