Motostrano bike gear and parts

I am currently in California with work and wanted to recommend a great bike shop I visited yesterday called Motostrano in Redwood City.

This is a small business but run by some really nice guys and they really seem care about thier customers and have some great products in their store. I know the exchange rate does not make buying from the US that attractive at the moment, but they do carry some good stuff and they are really helpful so give them a call if you see something you want as I am sure they will sort out shipping.

They also mentioned that they are looking to sort out some off-road bike trips (including bike/gear rental) around the Baja beach races.........that could be very cool!!!

I was in there in July last year and at that point the place was a bit chaotic. I also found that there were no prices on any of the clothing. They explained that as being because they're really a mail order company.

It's worth knowing that if you're a member of BARF, there's a 10% discount; although it has to be said that the guy in there struggled with the idea that someone from Scotland was a BARF member.

Other places I've bought gear from in the past include Road Rider who have a large stock of clothing and Scuderia West where Crystal once sold me an Arai at the sale price, three days before the sale was due to start because I was flying home the next day.
