Just a I was about to buy a RoadAngel speed camera detector a pal who is moving back to the USA gave me his 3 month old Geodesy Plus device.

Great in the car, and I've used it in areas where I know there are cameras and it works just fine. Of course, this device doesn't detect lasers, so motorway bridges and hidden lay-byes will still pose a threat.

The problem I'm faced with is how to mount the device on my bike so that it's in my eye-line. It comes with its own 'power cradle' which Morpheous suggest is stuck to the screen using double-sided sticky pads.

I think something more robust is needed. The cradle can be permanently attached to the bike as the Geodesy Plus unit is readily detachable from the cradle.

Droopy.....try a couple of the new style 'clicking' velcro attachments...they're similar but way stronger to normal velcro- one part pushed onto the other and you can actually hear and feel it click into place.

I can find you a couple if you like- I use them at work and they're bloody strong

(stuck a cordless 24 volt drill to a ceiling the other week ;) )

Geodesy Mounting

I've got one mounted on the silver bit under the screen, with the unit lined up with the top edge. I used the self adhesive double sided mounting foam pad provided and its fine. Took the power from the back of a second power socket mounted on the beak and brought the cable up in the small gap between the siver panel and the dash.

Good piece of kit

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to get hold of some of this super velcro stuff this weekend and perhaps mount it as Malcolm has suggested.

I was really after a flat plate that I could put on to a RAM arm and screw it to the handlebars, but despite peering at RAM's website for ages, I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Temp fix though will be to stick the Geodesy to the silver part under the screen.

The one on the bike is a triple, I have a spare double bend one (see picture) courtesy of Ming:)

I could send this one to you, just needs a bit of a mod to mount on the brush guard bolt. It will sit a bit lower than mine but should be fine...
