Mounting a 2610 to the bike

Got a NAV II attaches in same way as the Garmin, I keep it screwed down, I'm pretty happy with it.

I've used both the Garmin and RAM mounts for my 2610. My only real issue with the Garmin mount is that the little security screw MUST be tightened down when the 2610 is mounted. If not, vibration will eventually cause the clip that holds the GPSR in to slowly rise up. I haven't let it get that far, but I think it could rise enough to let the GPSR come loose.

OTOH, the RAM mount has no security at all, but there's no way the GPSR is going to vibrate loose.

So the Garmin mount is more of a nuisance if you're going to remove and replace the 2610 frequently. The RAM is more of a nuisance if you'd like to be able to leave the 2610 on the bike while stopping for a meal or make a quick stop at a store.

Both mounts are pretty cheap (unlike the TT), so if you try one and don't like it you can always try the other.
