I've recently purchased a 2720 from a fellow tosser.
It came with the plastic Garmin mount (square backplate - four screws) and now I need to get hold of a bike specific 'thing' to allow me to attach this to my 1100.

I'm new to this whole bike gps thing - any pointers as to what my options are would be much appreciated!

thanks
Matt

If you "Google" "ram mount" you should find the RAM system which is a popular generic mounting system.
Alternative is to sell a kidney for a specific Touratwat/Wunderlisp mount.

You should have a "locking" driver for the standard Garmin mount. DON'T put it on your keyring as the locking end will vibrate off. Keep it in your pocket. This was fixed with later versions.

RAM Cradle (RAM-HOL-GA9)
Handlebar mount: RAM-B-149Z u-bolt type with 1", 1.25" u-bolts, 3" arm and dimond base.

Touratech Cradle
Handlebar mount: RAM-B-149Z u-bolt type with 1", 1.25" u-bolts, 3" arm and dimond base which picks up onto underside of their cradle

Garmin Cradle (010-10495-00 comes with lead)
Handlebar mount: RAM-B-149Z-G1 u-bolt type with 1", 1.25" u-bolts, 3" arm and round base which picks up on AMPS four hole fix pattern. This was the earlier SPIII mount .. so use the screw hardware included and you'll keep skin on knuckles when removing power lead.

Looks like that's the feller :thumb2

Anyone know of any on-line suppliers apart from GPSW (none in stock)?

cheers
Matt
