I've read the threads about mounting a Garmin Quest on a GS but are there any different options for the GSA given the screen? In the past I've just used the plastic Garmin one but like the look of the TT lockable ones.

Any tips appreciated.

Done the deed then Jeremy?

A word of warning about the TT lockable ones. Yes they look very nice and yes they are very well made..........but secure they are NOT! You can remove the GPS from the cradle without using any keys..

Security is a very relative term. The "lockable" ones would probably slow the owner down if they tried to remove it. I'd guess the lighter fingered would also be slowed down, a little.

Having witnessed someone removing a lockable TT in just a few seconds, it actually takes me longer to unscrew a Ram mount ball.

Hence the reason why I sold mine. :o

why leave it mounted when it so easily removed and put in ya pocket with the standard mount .. i have never felt it was a pain in the ass to just unclip the antenna and remove with one hand . . safest place .. is with you !!!

Dare I ask where from........?

From the devils armpits as far as you are concerned but they were the most competitive.

I'd read somewhere that someone using the TT mount had it drop off the bike at speed, which is nice. Any other options?

Have a look at the RAM mounts - you can remove the Quest in nanoseconds.
