hi help needed my 660 Mp3 player has started to play up. It finds the track and when i push play the play button changes to a pause button. However the timer does not start to show the elapsed time and nothing is heard? any one any ideas?
It worked last time i used it with the same mp3 s

Good idea

Ive tried another card with different mp3 s from another device and the same thing happened?

Shit garmin!

Just done it and same problem, its just a shit product and thats that! i bet it has to go back and another unit sent out for the fixed repair of I think €300! this makes 5 new garmins in as many years. Complete crap, my chines gps is 3 years old and still works and cost €60. there is no justification for garbage garmin!

The trouble with the 660 is the sd card is not held in a clip so it can move although the battery should hold it.Mine is also intermittent and sometimes wont see the sd card.Usually turning it off and on a couple of times seems to work.I have put a piece of card in place to hold it tight.

Loads of people have had that problem myself included. There's a long thread on it over on Zumoforums.com.

There doesn't seem to be any concrete evidence of whats causing the issue for some and not others. In my case, I have reloaded the software, moved from a 16Gb to a 4Gb card and done a Master reset - this works for a while and I have to ocassionally do another master reset so it talks to the SD card. There's no ryme or reason to it - it can work fine for 4 weeks and then play up so it only finds the MP3's on the card once in 5 switch on's. Also seems to happen less often if I switch the zumo off before cutting its power by the ignition. When I have had the problem I have checked the card and its physically in its slot OK.

As said, go over to Zumoforums and you will get many different opinions on this matter.

it sees the mp3 s on the card and the play button changes to a pause button but no audio. I never have the nav audio on, so i tried that and it does not work as well?

As a long term garmin owner I am friendly with the importers in Serbia so I went to their workshop today and asked, they said eeeerrrrrr no idea leave it with us, so I will see what happenes. I will post the results when I know.

Untill then thanks for the help and advice
