I no your looking ! :hug

Please Please Can i have a gearbox in my WC that's as good as this loan bike, probably also costs half the price of the WC and yet the heated grips are hotter than hot without hand guards :) and the gearbox sublime :) surely its not to much to ask .

You've been robbed. That's a 650 single!

:beerjug:

Its a bloody hoot to ride around the leafy lanes of Derbyshire, downside its not ideal for the typical size tosser, good job I'm a lightweight :)

Simple. Buy one. Sell the LC

I had an 800 GS for a loan bike a while back ..... bloody brilliant ... :clap

A bit 'revvy' (but that made it good fun) and the gear box was an absolute delight ... :thumb2

Heated grips! Pfft. Even after the so called update for them they are rubbish compared to the rest of the range...

I look at 1200s all the time, and then I ride my 800GS and think, No way would a 12 be this much fun - am I wrong?

I would miss big CC displacement two up on our long European jaunts, but if I never took a pillion again, the 800 GS is a cracking bike ...

(but for the meantime I'll stick with an 1190 adventure R - did I mention I was getting one on friday ... :nenau :D)

I had one as a loan bike and thought it was a piloshite! my c90 was more of a bike than that, looked rediculous went like a snail and sounded like it was about to detonate at every traffic light grand prix I entered it in, I'd sooner wait next time whilst they service mine :-)

That's pretty much the only thing that would make me swap, but as I'm never likely to do the two up with luggage big tour (my Mrs's back is dodgy, the most she'll sit pillion is about an hour, so that rules out anything except a steady blat round the Highlands, with regular stops for photos!)

I am tempted to do the 1200 thing tho - if I don't like it, I can always have an 800 GSA!

I had an f800gs for a week when my wc was getting its clutch swapped out.

Grew to love it , so light in comparison and great fun. Front forks dived causing abs jitters around town if hamfisted on the brakes, other than that couldnt fault it.

Nice getting back on the 1200 for the extra punch , but i can see the appeal of the 800, great bike and easy to throw around i would be more than happy with one.

I changed the fork springs and oil to eliminate the dive and fitted a nitron shock to my weight and it was a different bike.

It got a bit buzzy around 85 and when doing motorway stints to catch the ferry, lacked the big gs grunt, but £14 ish filled the tank and did 175 miles, great bikes the 800 .

Completely agree. Heated grips on the LC GS/GSA are crap.

heated grips

Heated Grips on my GS W/C ( 64 plate) are as good if not better than my old GSA 13 plate.
