I've started planing routes for Austria and the Dolimites for next year.
I'm using MRA routeplanner and cross referencing them with Kurviger.
The time difference is quite a lot, one route from Zell am Zee to Arabba, MRA says 3hrs 49mins the Kurviger says 5hrs 33mins.
That's quite a difference, it's not just on this route, Kurviger seems to add at least an hour or so.
I've checked the routes an there both about the same, which one should I go with ?

Are you sure you have the same degree of kurviness in both?
Kurviger also say there are 2 road closures and that may explain the difference.

I have just asked MyRoute Routeplanner for Zell am See to Arabba. It has dished up three hours dead / 130.25 miles. This is using Here maps.

Switching to TomTom maps, gives 3 hours 9 minutes / 116.34 miles.

Switching to OSM, gives 2 hours 47 minutes / 116.09 miles.

Google Maps gives 3 hours 23 minutes / 116.20 miles

ViaMichelin gives 3 hours 4 minutes / 147 miles.

All broadly similar.

Kurviger, depending on the routing chosen, gives 7 hours 6 minutes / 188 miles for the most direct or 7 hours 8 minutes / 238 miles for the most curves.

Could be the road closed, I don't have that on mine.
The routes are more or less like for like

I think I'll just plan on it taking longer than MRA says and just wing it.
Thanks for the help

That's great, I'll have to upgrade it.
Thanks for that.
