My MRA 2-piece is a lovely little screen, especially with its Tobinators.

But it wobbles and shimmys like a good 'un and recently (despite a pre-ride check) shook out one of the front locating bolts !

The thing rattles and shakes quite a lot, even though it really does reduce noise and buffetting, it gets pretty well buffetted itself.

Has anyone come up with a working solution (other than taking the top half off which really settles things down and results in some very calm air - but which isn't really very nice to look at).

Any tips gratefully acknowledged !

2 things

Hi Alex,

2 things that come to mind. The MRA screen does wobble, it was the reason I got rid of mine, it was just too destracting especially at 90 plus (on the German autobahn obviously)

Secondly is that you cockpit bolts may have worked loose, unlikely but possible, they are situationed under the beak and under the cockpit area.

Have a look, but I suspect it is the normal, but I am likely to be corrected I am sure.!

Never had problems with mine with the Tobinators on is shimmys from side to side on tickover but anything above it is steady , and is stable at license braking speeds too.

Thanks guys.

Ho hum.

Commuter - what did you replace the MRA with ? I really like the MRA but wow does it bend back under severe acceleration. I keep thinking it's going to come off and wallop my visor.

It keeps the other road users entertained, that's for sure.

Tx Commuter ..........

I thought 'Wunderbar' screens came in standard sizes, or is that just the increase that comes as standard over an MRA ?

I guess that's the screen that dosen't need the Adventure "wide" spacers ?

Cheers.

Alex,

I'd suggest there is something wrong with your screen or mountings. There's a certain degree of flex in my MRA, but nothing like what you describe (my Tobinators are effectively vertical with the screen in its highest position, so should, in theory, be at its 'most wobbly').

Are all the bolts on the Tobinators and screen tight (none stripped, for instance)?

Mike:)
