Every bike I have owned other than tje 1200RT has had to undergo modification to the screen to make windblast and buffeting more bearable. On three previous bikes I have gone with an MRA screen but these have always been the type with the small aerofoil at the top front edge. In all honesty, the difference with these has been minimal if not unnoticeable. However, I've bitten the bullet and gone with another MRA for the 1150gs because the 50/50 split screen seems to me to be more likely to do what I want. I am chuffed to little bits to be able to report that it is brilliant! Up to 50 or 60 mph there is virtually no wind, I can even ride with the visor up. From 70 upwards the ride is nice and quiet, almost but not quite on a par with the RT.
For reference, I am 6'3" and have the BMW screen adjusters set second highest or most forward and the screen on the next to highest setting. I found that at the highest setting it was causing a slight vibration in my crash helmet.
