Just got one of these vario screens for my 2000 1150 non Adventure.
Seems like its too wide and you have to sorta bend it inwards so you can screw in the adjusters on the side.
In other words you hang it on one side, screw in adjuster and allen bolt at the front then force the screen inwards so you can screw in the adjuster and bolt on t'other side.

Original screen and other aftermarket screen I got you did the reverse and open the screen out a bit and then hang it on the pegs that the plastic adjuster knobs screw into.

:confused::confused::confused:

Anyone know if they do that? Just a bit worried that the perspex is under quite a bit of tension.

same here... screen is under no stress whatsoever.. are you sure you're fitting it correctly. post some pics - would be terrible if you cracked it cause you fitted it wrongly!!!

I would send in pics but was so bothered by it that I returned it. I thought it might simply have been for an Adventure cos I think they have wider mounts but supplier said that its the other way round; you need non ADV mounts to stick one on an ADV.
So I assume from that that MRA only make one screen for both non ADVs and ADVs. Maybe they're now making 2 different types?????
Shame I didn't take pics but it definitely weren't right.
Forgot to say, I measured widths and std screen was about 70mm narrower at adjuster points than the MRA they gave me.
Odd huh??

sounds like they sent the wrong one.. or the wrong one in the right packaging.. a simple error.

If you still want one then contact Jaws on this site.. or via his website - he has supplied many of these screens at a price that simply cant be beat. you will need to subscribe to the site to message him... or

you can find his website on google - jaws motorcycles - he is a blackbird specialist but has seen the light and got himself a GS.
