Multistrada 1200s

The Multistrada was top of the list when it came to replacing my GS, but the corrosion on all three slightly used models I looked at put me off :(
:

That's interesting, the worst corroding bikes I have ever owned have all been boxer BMW's. I'm hoping my multi is going to be ok though as the only thing portuguese put salt on is food :D

Had mine for 8 weeks and done just under 2k.

Comfortable, goes like a train, feels like a proper bike - can't fault it.

Only reason I did not get one was the luggage capacity was poor (for two-up touring) and I reckoned it was more likely to get me banned than the ZZR1400 it would have replaced :blast

I must admit I am mightily jealous whenever I see someone on one of these things as I know how brilliant they are.

Just make sure you all cherish them and get some ACF-50 on them fixings and fastenings as I have seen some looking quite grotty.

First bike on my Lotto Win list :thumb2

Still like these bikes a lot and was going to trade my 08 GSA in for one a couple a years back but the trade in figure from the Ducati dealer was £2000 less than for another new GSA, so GSA it was.

mts

Just sold my mts 1200s 10 plate, waiting for new wc in March.I had one of the first batch to arrive in Scotland the bike never let me down but was back to ducati Glasgow on a number of times with little niggles and up dates.I kept mine on tickle charge most of the time as the battery always seemed weak, and did feel the first owners were doing the development. I hope that's not the case with the new gs!:flag

Love mine, they are the knackers!:thumb2

No way id keep up with myself on the multi on my 999. The pace is staggeringly effortless, you can cover ground on them like nowt else.
