Muppet on youtube

Leave the guy alone! He sounds like a genuine toilet owner

I've not ridden a WC so can't comment on the accuracy of his review, sure he lacks a little eloquence but he makes his point in his own way.
It is however refreshing to hear a review from someone whose not on either side of the corporate fence.
One might say he's bitter that his own bike is no longer the latest, on the other hand he may just be disappointed that the WC hasn't lived up to his expectations? :nenau

Willing to accept that hes not enamoured with the new one, and doing unscripted commentary is pretty tricky.....but then I clicked on his other you tube clips...

Hmmmmm, nope...twat.

Stu

Why does it seem to matter so much to people what he thinks? It is after all just his opinion.

I am sure his apparent negativity doesn't mean any of you new owners view your bike any differently.

As long as you are happy with your purchase who cares what anyone else thinks about it? :nenau

Road test

I watched the you tube clip

You know what I thought he was very good (raw he's not a actor)
You know why
Just another BMW rider who likes BMWs he says he won't be buying one
that's because he didn't like it (nowt wrong with that)
personally I think the 1150 is better than the 1200 gs
That's my opinion
Good on him to make the video because I wont be buying one either
Anyone got a nice 1150SE adv for sale my all time fav GSA

I think that he's rebelling against the plasticising of motorcycles. If he'd got into the fold 5 years earlier he'd be labelled a luddite as he would never have graduated to a 1200.

The Bogger sure does pick up it's skirts and go though. He could have tried harder in the low gears and hoiked up the front.

It is a terrible review, lacking eloquence and (IMHO) objectivity. Seems to me he'd decided he didn't like the bike before he even rode it, as some of his criticisms were more than a little trivial.

Still, we've all upped the hits on his vid, so he probably thinks he's "the man."

Until he looks in on this site - perhaps I should leave a comment on YouTube :D

Good effort

Score 10/10

1. It's all his own work.

2. Probably a GOPRO hero3 Connected to a "tie" mic inside the helmet to give good quality audio.

3. It's posted to you tube and plays in 720HD

4. If you enjoy knocking his efforts then get off your backsides step away from the keyboards, buy the kit, read the manuals, learn how to use MPEG4 conversion software, editing software, titling and compression settings for HD youtube playout in the correct aspect ratio.

5. Once you've managed to do all that go and make something better and post up a youtube link to it.

You'll note my criticism was of the content, not his technical ability to produce it.

1/ whoop de do
2/ sound quality was good, as was the picture quality.
3/ great
4/ don't have the time nor probably the patience/technical ability
5/ see the above

I know my limitations, presenting isn't one of them. It always pays to know one's limitations.:rob

Ha ha ha ha, thats not how I've read your post Bud!

Regrettably not enough people in the course of their lives or work get told "belt up smart-arse, if you think you can do better, then show us!"

Lol, fair enough. My post was ambivalent, so I'll give you that. His technical ability far surpasses mine. Whilst I'd still disagree with his opinion, I reckon he could condense that into 2 or 3 minutes and it would be a lot better. Bit to 'chain of consciousness' and rambling.

I do agree the engine is a peach, but I sometimes get the same clunk into first on my RT. so that's an example of how I disagree.

And I completely agree with last line - almost out up or shut up. Like it.

btw if that was a GoPro he needs to send it back as its buggered!!!!

....or stop messing about with the settings :augie

If you place your videos in the public domain for everyone to view then expect to get slagged off if it's a bit crap.
