Mustangs to Monza 2

After the excitement of the mountains it's a steady drive to the hotel, trucks parked and in the spirit of a good trip report, a picture of an excellent evening meal.

People ask about the trailer height and this one is very low. You just have to be bloody careful when you come of a main road. Most of it is just for show and to make the trailer look the business.

After a nice rest it's up towards Calais in the rain. Damn, I'm going to have to wash teh bloody thing when I get back

Get to Calais in good time, Carnet stamped and onto teh ferry which is done very carefully with thelow trailer.

Nice crossing then park up in Dover for the night as we won't get back in our legal hours. Then it's head home to the base Evesham after a very enjoyable 10 days.

I'm supposed to be retiring but when jobs like this appear, why would you not do it and I count myself very lucky to get the opportuniy.

Hope you enjoyed the report.

Great write up,I hope the second driver inserted his card within an hour of the first driver if not you've been breaking THE LAW!!!!!!!;)

Fabulous write up. When we ride/drive our own vehicles we pass hundreds of trucks, but most of us don't really understand much of that world.

When you were on cruise control across France in the MAN, what kind of speed will those rigs do?

Dumped my car at the yard in Droitwich and got taken up to Oulton getting there about 6pm. We were scheduled to leave at about 9 but as usual, things drag on and we didn't get away until about 11. As usual. they looked after me and I got fed and watered at a local hostelry.
Five minutes from me Chris. Great write up, and you do look the part in the team kit!

What a great trip, I can only imagine the initial pressure of being part of a pukka race team. (I used to help out at a charity motorsport team with way less pressure, and crowds of only 27 people and that was bad enough...until you got into the flow.)
Brilliant life experience for you

Fantastic, really enjoyed that, nearly made me want to drive again!

Thanks. (y)
