This is what I'm going to order when my local dealer opens again tomorrow morning! :D :D :D

What do you reckon? Nice? Or maybe the red, with black side panels?

all you need now is a nice exhaust..............

Apologies Foto John for hi jacking your thread but in case your ordering parts like a new exhaust, ordered some new bits from Nippy Normans yesterday and they arrived last Saturday :D

Thanks for the replies, everyone, I'm glad you all liked it, although I won't be adding any exhausts or the like, although I might go for a different screen and of course swapping my Jesse panniers over! :)
Still, I'm more than happy with my decision, which I hope to sign on the dotted line for, on Saturday. :thumb2

No worries about the thread hijack Uncle T, I shall certainly be using Nippy Normans, especially if he uses time travel for his postal service! :D

I finally did it!

Yesterday afternoon, after a short 2 hour test ride on a 1200GS Adv, I asked my dealer to order me a standard GS and signed the papers. :D

Boy is that GS Adv. big, larger than my 1150 GS Adv., although you can definitely tell the difference, weight wise! :thumb2
I would have loved to have ordered the Adv., as the road presence is a lot more, plus the weather protection a lot better. However, as part of the agreement with SWTSMBO to purchase a new, lighter bike, I agreed not to go with the Adv. again. Hopefully, I won't regret my decision to go with the standard GS, though!

I should find out on Tuesday how long I must wait, before the bike will be in the dealers, I was told to expect around 2 months, though! :(

Now, I just can't wait! :D

My final options were:

Hand protection
Heated grips
White indicator lenses
Chrome exhaust
On-board computer
Anti-theft alarm
Cross-spoked wheels
Integral ABS (partial)
ASC

I've just got to decide which engine bars to fit now! :mmmm

For me it was the SW Motech bars from Nippy Normans.

Excellent quality, all parts present and correct and easy to fit.

Although I have given them the ultimate test they look up to the job
and certainly more sturdy than the BMW ones.

Good luck with new bike. Looks a treat in black.
