Hi yer fellas, had the 1200gs just over a month now and its starting to talk to me ! telling me it wants to go places I've never been before Gulp.
So I'm about to get the G 2610 it will be used 70% car 30% bike,
Q= Can i get the voice commands to my helmet
Q= Whats the best system for this.
Cheers Nozza

Best overall system is probably Autocom followed by Starcom though simplest is a mono 3.5mm extension lead plugged into the audio out jack on the power cable and any of a variety of in-ear/over-ear/Velcro-into-helmet headsets.

The intercom systems are great is you carry a pillion and/or want your MP3 player, phone, PMR radio etc. piped through it. If a solo rider and the wind, engine and exhaust are your orchestra and you want to get away from the damn phone then save the money with the latter option above.

The audio connector on the 2610 power is 2.5mm not 3.5mm. Best hard wiring it anyhow as its a bit flimsy. :)

Sorry :blush was going from my experience with a Quest cradle, assumed the 2610 would be the same...

If you think Autocom is the best you have live a very sheltered life. Try Baehr and you will never look back. They even sponsor the site. :nenau

OK, I admit I've never heard of them. Their website is a little lacking to say the least so my curiosity will have to remain...

I don't own an intercom myself so I can only tell as I hear and I hear plenty of good things about Autocom and almost more importantly their customer service.

You don't here much about Baehr because there no complaints and not much to say it just works 100%. It's easy to install works to at least 200kph and that is with an open face helmet.

What do you want to know.

Just looked at their website.................. Very nice, but a little expensive!

personally, i have found the autocom perfect for my needs, but yer pays yer money and yer makes yer choice

I have a Starcom which worked ok on my previous bike. Does anyone have any ideas where to locate the Starcom on a GS1200? It seems that it will go loose in place of the tool kit but are there any alternatives please?
