Fingers Crossed

Well, the day has come to collect my bike from Overland & Classic after a major engine & final drive rebuild. I wish to extend my gratitude to Mikeyboy for all the investigative work that went into solving the problem, which I certainly was vindicated in with my "gut feeling" that all was not well. I anticipate this thread closing now that everyone has read the sorry saga and chipped in with their opinions, some hilarious, some a little darker! Now for the task of clearing out the garage and selling the replacement 1200GS. Discuss, do I sell it now or in the New Year?

Last year, Mikey did my final drive an drive shaft. Its all running just fine and I'd expect at least another 50K before it needs dong again.

PS You will get a better price (for the spare) in the late winter/early spring.

Yes, I'd hang on to the 'spare bike' until the spring too - what you pay in road tax on it over the winter (unless you SORN it) you'll more than make up in its higher perceived value come the next 'riding season' (whatever one of those is).

Hey Everyone, its home!

My God, what a transformation, A big UP to Mikeyboy, he has my seal of approval everytime. I can even change gear properly now!!!!!
