I've got original ratios with supersprox front & rear sprockets plus a DID X-ring gold chain - all components have been spot on.

I know what you mean about being in 6th gear at lower speeds; I simply don't use 6th until I'm at a higher speed that 'suits' the engine ;).

Oh....and mine is a 2015 SA-T so a little older than yours.
Yes, I’ve figured that and I have taken advice from fellow bikers, and will do same as you have, upgrade but stick with OEM ratios.
 
@EVskij have you done this job yet? If so did you have to remove the swingarm pivot bolt from the left had side to allow the swing arm to move slightly to allow removal of the front sprocket?

No, haven’t carried out the work yet. The dealer has adjusted the chain during the service, and advised I change it in the near future. They haven’t mentioned removal of the swing-arm pivot bolt either.

Currently I am in Germany, bike felt fine two up and fully loaded.
