Hi Agree,
Apologies for the Boring, nasty, arrogant, fcuktards that frequent this forum.
I become embarrassed at having UKgser stickers on my bike because of them.
Hope you’re not put off by it. Keep posting.:thumb2

I only ride in the fair weather, so a pussy. :D
My kit :
Aria tour X
Rallye 2 Jacket
Soldier 95 combat leather gloves (cold)
Desert Combat Gloves Leather (warm)
“Stinger” Kevlar Draggin Combats
Tactical lightweight law enforcement boots.

My 2p

Arai Quantum E. Sat in a box for 8 years and came out again in Feb when I got another bike. Great helmet but a bit on the noisy side. System 6 coming soon.

HG Cruise jacket, picked up from a forum member here and I love it, comfortable, warm, good armour and goretex waterproof. I ran heating wire into the liner the other week, and have been toasty warm all week including last night when I fell off in the snow.

Boots are Alpinestars. Not waterproof but very comfortable and, now that I've gaffer taped the vents, they don't let the water in. Planning to try on some waterproof boots soon.

Trousers are cheap ebay ones, heavy cordura and well padded/armoured which will do until I find some second hand cruise trousers to match the jacket.

Tucano muffs are god's gift to bikers, and I wear my Swift summer gloves all year round now.

Bob heath v-wipe is the best single £1 I've ever spent on bike gear. Had it for years but lost it in the snow last night. Going to cost a fiver to replace. Cleans the visor with a single wipe of all the crap that's thrown up from the road.

Ex-police goretex hiviz jacket was £35 and well worth it, best reflective jacket I've ever owned and it's waterproof too.

well thats a bit more like it, nice to know there are plenty of like-minded peeps on here!

I see that a few people have posted about other bits and pieces they use and find work, so:

I use a (ragged) assortment of base layers, mixture of EDZ stuff and various thermals etc which I've picked up from TK Maxx for next to nowt, all much of a muchness IMO.

Got a bunch of Kriega stuff, US 10, US 20, R20 ruckie, R3 bumbag and a Kube pouch, the US10 is really the girlfriends, as is an R15 ruckie, all accumulated over time as needs, birthdays and xmas dictates/allows. Kube velcro's to handlebars between clamps for fone and wallet.

Prolly best buy luggage wise was a pair of Ortlieb 60 litre drybags with ruckie straps that were used by us on a 3k tour of europe last year, got everything in them inc camping gear and then bungeed em to the back of a Fazer 600 and a CBR 600F. £45 as i recall, bargain.

these days i have been mostly wearing:

Rukka marco day glo jacket- possibly the warmest and most comfortable jacket ive ever wor, only had it a few months but already has a tear in one of the front pockets, but ill be taking it back to rukka to get sorted asap but not yet as i dont have a jacket that is as warm! ive got a rukka alroad for the summer as its nice and vented

gerbing heated jacket liner - feck me its warm! need to buy the controler to turn it down a notch or 2! also like the high heated collar to keep the old throat toasty.

halversons gi pants - again very warm due to the three layer system but can be a faff to take on and off. like the big cargo pockets on the legs too, which are nice and handy, and waterproof too! and they also zip to the rukka jacket to stop those nasty drafts!

rukka xtrafit gloves - had these for a few years and are sooo comfy, worn with tucano mufss so put the heated grips on and toasty warm!

sidi courier boots - not the wamest or waterproof but uber comfy and ehen worn with seal skin socks, they rock!

polar buff- nice and warm but a little restrictive, so sometimes use just a normal buff

usually where edz 2 peice under suit under the lot, sometimes with a edz winsdstopper top if its really cold, but mostly with a cotton long sleeved tshirt, especially when ive got the gerbing jacket going at full chat!

Here goes with my fave gear :)

Arai Tour x for the top which I love but my absolute faves are my cycling shirts, the air flows straight through and cools you rather than sweating in a sticky t shirt (get some for your touring). Hein Gericke Air stream jacket with the protection and Hein Gericke Panther leathers. My boots are nothing out of the ordinary, just normal touring style. Gloves are my ex service leathers and nice and supple they are too. To top off I wear ESS Ice military shades.
Just in case there is the threat of rain I keep my trusty Belstaff over suit in the top case. :D :Motomartin

forgot to add...
helmets - have both a tour x 3 motard and a shark s900 glow, favour the arai for fit but way to cold and breezy for this type of weather so opting for the shark at the mo, perfect fir, very comfy but a tad noisy, and has a flip down sun visor which is very handy! and a bargain at £150, hlaf the price of the arai!

Schuberth C3 - a big improvement on the original Concept now languishing in the loft
Tourguard jacket, nice piece of kit, comfy, dry in a frog-strangler and not too hot in summer, had it for about six years now and still my favourite, tried Rukka but prefer the Tourguard.
BKS leather jacket with many perforations for summer use only, a bit too heavy still.
BKS perforated leather trousers, very comfortable indeed, and a cheap pair of overtrousers allows them to be used when it rains.
BMW Atlantis trousers for the winter, too warm for summer, but very comfortable and sort of waterproof.
Sidi SRS boots, hated them at first, way to stiff, but now as comfy as, and can be used with sealskinz socks in the wet
Held gloves, forget the name, not cheap but very comfortable. Not waterproof though.
Dainese combined backpack and back protector, can carry the Schuberth in an expanding pouch on the back when not riding, but it protrudes rather.
