What did you think they were???
If they were fuel tank delivery pipes, the petrol would be pissing all over your boots and obviously far more of a safety issue

Do you really think its reasonable to a repaired bike to be retuned in that state?

But if all you do is ride (with the basic checks of course), and leave the rest to the dealer, and have no interest in or time for mechanics, how the hell are you supposed to know what the pipes are? Perhaps you need to get a grip.
More importantly - why should a fuel pump corrode at all?
