...and it's definitely coming from the bleed nut thingy and not the banjo thingy.

I've nipped it up a tad, but the little mechanical knowledge (very little) I do have is saying don't tighten it any more.

Any suggestions ??

Strange..

Just nip it up a bit more, but don't swing on the spanner.:thumb2

Still under warranty? get a tech to sort it.

:thumb Warranty runs out in about four days! I could probably tighten the nut another mm, but It's so tiny it would be just my luck .... Snap! :blast

i think i'd be inclined to loosen the nipple (just a bit) before pinching it up again, while squeezing the brake lever. hopefully that would reseat the nipple. would take a bit of feel, and if you bollocks it up, you'll have to bleed the brakes :augie

take it back to the dealer.

Yes, Sod's law can be harsh sometimes..:blast

Best get it round to your local stealer before't warranty runs oot then.

If you report it NOW and make an appointment for a fix you should be covered if your warranty expires before you take it in.

+1, those nipples are made from cheese, DAMHIK although in my defence it was an attempt to undo it not tighten it that caused it's demise.

If the seat is damaged you can sometimes dress it to get a seal.
But, it sometimes needs a new calliper.

As you have some warranty left, i would get it reported.

Brake nipples are very easy to shear off though usually when trying to take them out. DAMHIK. :blast

Warranty runs out in about four days!

Just buy the stainless steel parts for all of your brake calipers (including pins and springs), use PTFE tape as suggested by SiRich, and be content that when you next have to look at them you will simply brush aside any worries, give them a wash, change your pads, and bleed them.

Doing this saves time, and functional problems, if you are looking after your own bike: The one you can't you can't punt to your lackie because of operational requirements which needs sorting.

If it's leaking just from the bleed nipple, you'll should be able to tighten it more as it's steel into steel. However, if it's still under warrantee I'd put it back to the dealer. I can only imagine that it's leaking because it wasn't tightened sufficiently when it was last serviced.
